Everyone talks about safety, and everyone knows how to respond to emergencies | Meichen Industrial Group launched a series of activities for “Safety Production Month”
June 2024 is the 23rd National “Safety Production Month”. In order to thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on safety production, solidly promote the three-year action plan to address the root causes of safety production, focus on the annual safety production work, and promote the construction of the company’s safety culture. In combination with the company’s actual situation, the Safety Committee of Meichen Industrial Group coordinated and carried out a series of “Safety Production Month” activities.
On June 17, Zhucheng Federation of Trade Unions and Meichen Industrial Group jointly held a mass safety production knowledge training class on “Inspection, Protection and Promotion”. Liu Jiahui, member of the Party Leadership Group, Vice Chairman and Director of the Audit Committee of the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, and Zhang Chongsen, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Trade Union and Safety Director of the company, attended the event. Li Jinguo, Director of the Training Section of the Municipal Safety Training Center, and Wang Xue, Publicity and Training Trainer of the Municipal Fire Rescue Brigade, were invited to give lectures in this training. The lecturers combined the laws and regulations on safety production and took accident cases as reference to explain the emergency response methods for emergencies and the methods of unblocking life passages, so that the trainees mastered safety production knowledge and practical application skills, further enhanced the safety production knowledge of the company’s leading cadres, grassroots team leaders and safety officers, strengthened the sense of responsibility for job safety, and thus better carried out safety production management.
On June 17, the company organized all managers and safety officers to watch and study the “Safety Production Month Theme Promotional Film” and the “Safety Production Responsibility Shoulder” warning education film. The promotional film uses typical cases of major safety production incidents in the country in recent years, through video and animation demonstrations, with a strong visual impact, to sound the alarm for safety. Taking the cases as examples, the causes are analyzed layer by layer, and the lessons learned are summarized, which is thought-provoking. After watching the promotional film, all cadres and employees expressed that they will always remain highly vigilant, firmly establish the concept of safe development, and continuously enhance their sense of responsibility and mission in doing a good job in safety production.
On June 18, the Safety Committee Office organized a quiz contest for the 2024 Safety Production Month. The topics of this activity covered safety-related knowledge such as occupational health, safety management, production safety, emergency management, and the company’s safety management system. Through this quiz contest, the purpose of promoting learning through competition, promoting knowledge through learning, and promoting safety through knowledge was achieved, which further enriched employees’ safety knowledge, improved safety awareness, enhanced the company’s safety culture atmosphere, and strongly promoted the company’s safety production work.
On June 26, Meichen Industrial Group, together with the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions and the Municipal Fire Brigade, carried out a fire emergency evacuation drill. Company managers, team leaders, safety officers, employee representatives, etc. participated in the drill, and the company’s safety committee provided on-site guidance. The drill simulated a fire in the company’s workshop, and the on-duty employees evacuated in an orderly manner after hearing the evacuation alarm. Training on the use of common fire-fighting equipment was then conducted. Fire safety knowledge such as the characteristics of fire, prevention, fire fighting methods, fire-fighting facilities and equipment, and the operation and use of fire-fighting equipment were explained in detail. Through this drill, not only the fire safety awareness and emergency response capabilities of employees were improved, but also the operation of the company’s fire-fighting facilities and equipment and the feasibility of the emergency plan were tested, providing a strong guarantee for the safety and stability of the company.
Through a series of emergency plan drills, training competitions and other activities, the overall emergency response capability of the branch company has been further improved, employees have deepened their knowledge of emergency response, accumulated experience in handling emergencies and coping with risks, formed a fast, accurate and effective emergency response mechanism, and promoted the company’s continuous stability in production safety.
